How to reach the Seiser Alm area?

The Schlern area can be easily accessed by airplane, train or car

By airplane

South Tyrol's airport is located in Bozen and is thus recommended as the nearest destination airport. Verona and Venice to the south and Innsbruck to the north are South Tyrol's closest airports. Other airports in the area include Munich, Treviso, Bergamo, Bologna, and Milan. The distances from these airports to the Seiser Alm area are as follows:

Airport transfers are also available this year, connecting the Italian airports as well as Munich airport in Germany to South Tyrol. The following bus services are available:

 Additionally, the taxi services of the Dolomites region will pick you up at the airport and take you directly to your booked accommodation.

By car

  • If you are coming from the NORTH

take the A22 Klausen - Seiser Alm/Schlerngebiet exit (Kastelruth 17 km; Seis 18 km; Seiser Alm 25 km; Völs 25 km; Tiers 30 km).

  • If you are coming from the SOUTH

take the A22 Bozen Nord - Seiser Alm/Schlerngebiet exit (Völs 12 km; Tiers 18 km; Seis 18 km; Kastelruth 22 km; Seiser Alm 29 km).

From November to April, we recommend renting a vehicle with all-wheel or front-wheel drive. Avoid rear-wheel drive at all costs. Be sure to ask for winter tires and snow chains.

 

 

By train & bus

Relax and travel in an environmentally friendly manner by taking the train to the Dolomites region of Seiser Alm

  • From GERMANY

there are multiple direct connections that will take you from Munich to Brixen or Bozen in less than four hours, without any transfers. Here is the link to the train connections of the Deutschen Bahn DB

  • From AUSTRIA

there are regular connections from Kufstein via Innsbruck and Brenner will bring you from all parts of Austria to Brixen and Bozen. Here is the link to the train connections of the Österreichischen Bundesbahn ÖBB

  • From SWITZERLAND

a pleasant journey to the Dolomites region of Seiser Alm can be made possible by taking the Railjet Express & Eurocity over Innsbruck and Brenner. Trains from SBB run multiple times daily from Zurich, Basel, and Geneva. Here is the link to the train connections of the Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen SBB.

 

There are direct Bus connections from Brixen and Bozen to the Dolomites region of Seiser Alm; the travel time varies depending on the location, approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Alternatively, the "Südtirol Transfer" collective transport service/individual transfer will take you directly from your stop to your holiday accommodation.
