Villages along the South Tyrolean Wine Road
The South Tyrolean Wine Road is one of Italy’s oldest wine routes, and its villages lie between vineyards, orchards and castles. Caldaro is the village on Lake Caldaro, the warmest bathing lake in the Alps, with a wine museum and the Mendola cable car. Termeno, home of Gewürztraminer, delights with its winding alleys and the Egetmann parade. Appiano is one of South Tyrol’s most important wine-growing municipalities – with manor houses, Hocheppan Castle and the Monticolo lakes. Cortaccia, Magrè and Cortina are three small wine villages with historic centres, while Terlano is known for its white wine and asparagus. On the village pages you will find the highlights, events and our apartments on the Wine Road.
